Hi. I’m Liam Friedland

This blog is about User Experiences in products, environments, and everyday life. Hopefully you will find something fresh and inspiring here.

I am an Industrial Designer by training, and a User Experience Designer by predilection. For the past 18 years I’ve been applying + adapting Industrial Design methodologies to on-screen product design. I currently Direct the User Experience team at a mid-sized software company near San Francisco, California.  My team and I are responsible for the user research methods, UI design processes, standards, and specifications of Informatica’s developer, analyst, and on-demand product lines.

I have presented tutorials on Ux strategy at international conferences such as UPA, and CHI, and have also authored a number of print publications in the HCI field.
